Neighborhood Plan Update . Moshe Quinn, the COB planner assigned to Birchwood’s Plan Update process, presented our Plan to the City Council on September 14th. at 7 pm. He noted that we had many outdated “Public Works” sections that were removed and the current Comprehensive Plan information were added. This includes traffic/circulation sections, outdated bicycle section, and water/sewer section. New language addressing the Library section was also inserted. Kurt Baumgarten informed the Council of Birchwood Neighborhood Association's support of the Plan. The City Council voted 6 to 1 to direct staff to prepare an ordinance approving the proposed changes to the Birchwood Neighborhood Plan, to be included with Comprehensive Plan amendment
Birchwood Vision Committee: The Birchwood Neighborhood's Plan Update committee work has been completed with the approval of the Birchwood Neigbhorhood Plan. A new committee will form in 2010, called the Birchwood Vision Committe, which will use the information from the Birchwood Survey to identify the vision for our neighborhood and guide future changes of our Neighborhood Plan.
