Electric Meter Replacement
PSE has just informed customers in the neighborhood that the electric meters will be replaced soon. The default meter to be installed is a wireless communication meter. Here is a link from PSE on the replacement meters

The increased hazard and loss of privacy from smart meters may be concerning to some. PSE does offer a 'non-communicating' meter that requires a meter reader to come out and read in the old style. You need to contact PSE to request this and you will be sent some paperwork to sign and switched to bi-monthly billing with a $15 fee per bill ($7.50/month).

Seeking Feedback for Underpass Art
“The City of Bellingham is embarking upon a public artwork project that will enliven the underpass on Birchwood Avenue located between Squalicum Parkway and James Street. We have created an Engage Bellingham site to get some general guidance on the type of mural users of this stretch of Birchwood would be interested in seeing. This input will be provided to five artists who will be creating proposals for the site. One proposal will be selected. Here is the link to the survey”

New EV Chargers
Electrification of Transportation - City of Bellingham (cob.org) to install electric vehicle chargers throughout Bellingham. The project engineer reached out to make sure you’re aware of the recent work in your neighborhood. We’re just about done with the first phase that included charging stations at Taylor Dock, Fairhaven Park, Shuksan Meadows Park and Cornwall Park.
All of these locations are operational EXCEPT Cornwall Park are operational and we’d love for them to get used! The charger is in at Cornwall Park but we’re waiting for PSE to confirm our ability to hook up the new panel at Cornwall Park. This should happen in the next few months.
